It is literally a scene right out of "Total Recall". The NYPD announced today that it has been working with the DoD (Department of Defense) to create a mobile body scanner that can be mounted onto a police squad car and and can see through a persons clothes detecting a gun, bomb, or hidden marble rye loaf of bread...

Some may say this is a great step toward safety, others disagree. But before we go all "total recall" on our selves lets try to remember that society got along just fine before body scanners and we will be just fine when this ridiculous invasion of privacy goes where it belongs, in the round file (read trash can) right next to my vhs copy of "Total Recall".
